Where to Start

These guides exist because most "best website builder" content is written by people who have never had to maintain the thing they are recommending. We have built and looked after more than 800 websites since 2014, almost all of them on Divi, so what follows is what we actually think — including the parts that are inconvenient for us.

If you are weighing up an AI builder, start with the best AI website builders guide or our B12 review. If you are still choosing a platform more broadly, begin with the best website builder guide. If you have narrowed it down to Divi, go straight to the Divi review or the pricing breakdown. If you have already bought it and want to get it running properly, the tutorials are further down.

Start Here: Choosing a Platform

If you have not settled on how you are building your site yet, read these first.

AI Website Builders

The newest category, and the one with the most marketing noise around it. What the AI builders are actually good at, and where they stop.

WordPress Hosting

Where your site lives decides how fast it is and who helps when it breaks. Picks based on independent speed tests, with the renewal prices included.

Divi Reviews & Verdicts

What Divi is actually like to use, from an agency that has built with it since 2014.

Pricing, Discounts & Deals

What Divi costs, what discount is genuinely available, and when to wait for a sale.

Divi Plugins & Marketplace

Focused buying guides for extending Divi without filling a site with overlapping plugins.

Divi Compared

Head-to-head against the platforms people usually weigh Divi against.

Tutorials & How-To

Practical guides for building and running a Divi site.

Divi for Your Situation

The calculation is different depending on what you do for a living.

How We Write These Guides

Three rules, because they are the only reason this is worth reading:

  • We say when Divi is the wrong choice. If you want a two-page brochure site and never want to touch it again, Squarespace will annoy you less. That is in the guides.
  • Prices and features are checked against the source. Every guide shows the month we last reviewed it, and the commercial pages get re-checked quarterly.
  • Affiliate links are disclosed every time. We earn a commission if you buy Divi, subscribe to B12, or buy WPX or SiteGround through our links, at no extra cost to you. It does not change the verdict — and given we have to support the sites we recommend tools for, recommending badly would cost us far more than it earned.

Where should you host a Divi site?

Divi leans harder on the server than a simple theme, so cheap hosting shows its limits quickly. These are the two hosts we would put a Divi site on.

WPX

Top Tier in every WordPress band it entered in the 2026 Review Signal tests. Malware removal, email and site moves included. $24.99/mo paid yearly for 5 sites.

SiteGround

24/7 phone support, staging to test Divi changes safely, and free AI tools. GrowBig is £3.99/mo in year one, then £23.99.
