Nicada Digital has built and looked after more than 800 websites since 2014, almost all of them on WordPress. Hosting is the part clients never see and always feel.
Lovable and Bolt.new are the two AI app builders people compare most. Both turn a description into a working web app in your browser, both host it for you, and both sync with GitHub. The differences are in the details, and the details decide which one suits you.

Free Plan: Bolt Wins Clearly
If you want to try vibe coding without paying, Bolt is the better start. 300,000 tokens a day goes a long way. Lovable's 5 credits a day is enough to build something small and get a feel for it, but you will hit the limit quickly on anything bigger. Note that Bolt's free sites go offline if they exceed 10GB of bandwidth in a month.
Results: Lovable Has the Edge for Beginners
Lovable is designed around non-coders and tends to produce polished, consistent results with less steering. Its built-in back end means logins and a database just work. Bolt is just as capable but feels closer to the code, which suits people who want to see and tweak what is happening.
Paid Plans: Close
Both start at $25 a month. Paid yearly, Bolt works out a little cheaper. The bigger difference is teams: Lovable lets everyone in, on every plan, because it charges for credits, not seats. Bolt charges per member on Teams. For a business with several people working on one app, Lovable can be much cheaper.

Back End and Hosting
Both host your app. Lovable's back end, Lovable Cloud, is built in and paid for from your credits. Bolt Cloud provides hosting, domains and the Bolt Database, built on Netlify and Supabase, and Pro users can connect their own Supabase project. If you already use Supabase, Bolt is more flexible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Lovable better than Bolt?
They are close. Lovable tends to produce more polished results with less effort and has its own built-in back end. Bolt has a much bigger free plan, more choice of database, and suits people happy to work closer to the code.
Which is cheaper, Lovable or Bolt?
Both start at $25 a month. Paid yearly, Lovable Pro is $21 a month and Bolt Pro is about $18. Bolt's free plan is far more generous: up to 1 million tokens a month, against Lovable's 5 credits a day.
Can I export my code from Lovable and Bolt?
Yes, both sync with GitHub. Lovable includes Git sync on every plan, even Free.
Which has better hosting?
Both include hosting. Lovable hosts your app and back end and charges it from your credits. Bolt Cloud handles hosting, domains and a database, built on Netlify and Supabase. Bolt's free plan site goes offline if it exceeds 10GB of bandwidth.
Is there something cheaper than both?
SiteGround's Coderick AI starts at $10 a month (£8 in the UK) with hosting, a domain and professional email included. It has no GitHub sync, so it suits small businesses more than developers.
