Nicada Digital has built and looked after more than 800 websites since 2014, almost all of them on WordPress. Hosting is the part clients never see and always feel.
WPX is not the cheapest hosting you can buy. It does not try to be. But its prices are simpler than most, and once you count what is included, the gap with "cheap" hosting is smaller than it looks.
All prices below come from WPX's own order page, checked on 1 October 2026. They are in US dollars and do not include tax.
WPX WordPress Hosting Plans
| Plan | Monthly | 1 year | 5 years | Sites | Storage | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $17.99 | $14.99 | $11.99 | 1 | 10GB | No |
| Business | $29.99 | $24.99 | $19.99 | 5 | 20GB | Yes, unlimited |
| Professional | $59.99 | $49.99 | $39.99 | 15 | 40GB | Yes, unlimited |
| Elite | $119.99 | $99.99 | $79.99 | 35 | 80GB | Yes, unlimited |
| Agency | $599.99 | $499.99 | $399.99 | 200 | 300GB | Yes, unlimited |
The "1 year" and "5 years" columns are the monthly cost when you pay for the whole term up front. Every plan has unlimited visitors.
How the Longer Terms Work
WPX gives you free months for paying further ahead. On the Business plan:
- 1 year: 2 months free. $299.90 up front, so $24.99 a month.
- 2 years: 5 months free. About $23.74 a month.
- 3 years: 11 months free. About $20.83 a month.
- 5 years: 20 months free. $1,199.60 up front, so $19.99 a month.
Our advice: one year is the sweet spot for most people. You get the saving without tying up a large sum or locking yourself in for half a decade. Go longer only once you have been with WPX for a while and know you are staying.
WPX WooCommerce Hosting Plans
For online shops, WPX has separate plans with more memory and processing power, and a Redis cache to speed up shopping carts.
| Plan | Monthly | 1 year | Shops | Storage | Memory |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Powerstore | $34.99 | $29.16 | 1 | 20GB | 8GB |
| Superstore | $74.99 | $62.49 | 3 | 50GB | 36GB |
| Hyperstore | $149.99 | $124.99 | 5 | 100GB | 80GB |
All three include email with unlimited mailboxes. Before you choose, read our WooCommerce hosting guide: WPX's shop plans did less well in the 2026 independent tests than its normal WordPress plans.

What Every Plan Includes
This is the part that makes WPX's prices make sense. With many hosts these are paid extras. On WPX they are in every plan:
| Included | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Site moves done for you | Their team moves your site, usually within 24 hours. No limit on the number of sites. |
| Malware removal | If your site is hacked, they clean it. Security firms often charge hundreds for this. |
| Daily backups | Kept for 28 days, so you can roll back a bad update. |
| WPX's own CDN | Serves your images and files from over 40 points worldwide, for faster pages. |
| SSL certificates | The padlock in the address bar, free and automatic. |
| 24/7 live chat | WPX say they answer in about 30 seconds on average. |
| Staging | Try changes on a copy before they go live. |
The Things That Do Cost Extra
- Changing your domain name during a move: $98. A normal move is free.
- An express move, if you need it faster than the usual 24 hours: $100.
- Domain names, if you buy them from WPX.
Which WPX Plan Should You Choose?
Starter: one site, email already sorted
If you have one website and already pay for email elsewhere, Starter is the cheapest way in. Just know it has no email and 10GB of storage.
Business: the one most small businesses need
This is the plan we would point most of our clients at. You get up to five sites and email at your own domain with unlimited mailboxes. If you are paying Google or Microsoft for email for each person in your team, moving it to WPX can cover much of the gap between Starter and Business. The room for five sites also means you can add a second site or a landing page later without changing plan.
Professional: freelancers and small agencies
Fifteen sites and three times the memory of Business. If you build and host sites for clients, this is the starting point.
Elite and Agency: big portfolios
For agencies with dozens of client sites. Elite holds 35; Agency holds 200.
Monthly or Yearly?
Pay yearly if you can. There are two reasons:
- It is cheaper. Two months free on a one-year term.
- The refund is better. WPX's 30-day money-back guarantee refunds a yearly plan in full. On a monthly plan, you only get the first month's payment back.
So paying yearly is not riskier. If WPX is not right for you, you can still get all your money back inside the 30 days.
VAT and Paying From the UK
WPX prices are in US dollars and do not include tax. WPX say they do not charge VAT to people or companies outside the EU, which includes the UK. If you run a VAT-registered business, check with your accountant whether you need to account for it yourself.
Because you pay in dollars, your bank may add a small fee for the currency change. A card without foreign transaction fees avoids it. As a rough guide, the Business plan at $299.90 a year is roughly £220–£240 depending on the exchange rate.
Is WPX Good Value?
Compared with £2-a-month hosting, WPX looks expensive. But cheap hosting usually doubles or triples at renewal, charges extra for malware removal and site moves, and makes you wait for support. Compare like with like and WPX is fairly priced for what you get. For the full picture, see our WPX review and WPX vs SiteGround.
If you are not in a hurry, it is worth knowing that WPX has run a Black Friday deal each of the last three years, with extra free months on longer plans. Our WPX Black Friday page tracks it.
Start with Business, paid yearly
Five sites, email at your own domain, and the site move done for you. Two months free, and 30 days to get every penny back if it is not right.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is WPX hosting a month?
Paid monthly: Starter $17.99, Business $29.99, Professional $59.99, Elite $119.99. Paid yearly the monthly cost drops to $14.99, $24.99, $49.99 and $99.99. Prices are in US dollars, checked on WPX's order page on 1 October 2026.
Is WPX cheaper if I pay yearly?
Yes. A one-year term gives you two months free. Longer terms save more: up to 20 months free on a five-year term, which brings Business down to $19.99 a month.
Does WPX put its price up at renewal?
WPX's prices are shown as its regular prices, not a first-year teaser, and independent reviewers report that renewals stay at the same price. WPX's own Black Friday terms also say promotional plans return to the regular price shown on the order page. Check the order page before you buy, as with any host.
Does WPX charge VAT to UK customers?
WPX say they do not charge VAT to people or companies outside the EU, which includes the UK. If your business is VAT-registered, ask your accountant whether you need to account for it yourself.
Is there a WPX coupon code?
WPX sometimes runs its own first-month discount on monthly plans, shown in a banner on its site. It only covers the first month. Over a full year, paying yearly still works out cheaper, and the yearly plan is fully refundable for 30 days.
What is the cheapest WPX plan?
Starter, at $14.99 a month paid yearly or $17.99 paid monthly. It holds one website with 10GB of storage and does not include email.
Can I get a refund from WPX?
Yes, within 30 days. A yearly plan is refunded in full. A monthly plan refunds the first month's payment. You must cancel formally inside the 30 days, and domain names are not refundable.
