Nicada Digital has built and supported more than 800 websites since 2014, across small business, ecommerce and agency projects. We judge builders on what they are like to live with, not just to launch.
B12 has five plans, and the gap between the cheapest paid one and the most expensive is $375 a month. That is a wide spread, and the plan names do not make it obvious which one you need. This page lays out what each plan actually contains, what it costs over time, and which one fits which kind of business.
All prices are in US dollars, taken from B12's own pricing page and checked in September 2026. We re-check the commercial pages quarterly, and the date at the top of this page tells you when we last did.
B12 Pricing at a Glance
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly (per month) | Cost per year | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | Testing B12 before you commit |
| Website | $24 | $20 | $240 | A brochure site on your own domain |
| Website + Client Engagement | $78 | $67 | $804 | Practices that book, invoice and sign clients |
| Professional | $199 | — | $2,388 | Wanting B12's team to build it for you |
| Advanced | $399 | — | $4,788 | Small teams wanting ongoing monthly updates |
Paying yearly on the two self-build plans saves 15%. New customers can also take a paid plan for $1 for the first 7 days.
What Is in Each Plan
Free — $0
More useful than most free tiers, because it produces the same generated site the paid plans do. You get:
- A mobile-responsive site, store, portfolio, blog or app
- A yourbusiness.b12sites.com subdomain
- The visual editor with AI chat
- 5 AI credits a day, capped at 30 a month
- The ability to invite your team
What you do not get is your own domain, which rules it out as a real business site — and B12 shows its own ads on free sites. As a way to see what B12 builds for your business before paying, though, it is exactly right.
Website — $24/mo, or $20/mo paid yearly
The entry paid plan. Adds:
- Your own custom domain, free for the first year
- 100 AI credits a month
- Up to 10 launched projects
- B12's ads removed
- Commerce and backends
- Traffic analytics and reporting
- Integrations
- Email and chat support
This is a straightforward website plan. It is worth saying plainly that at $24 a month it is not the cheapest way to get a brochure site online — entry-level Wix and Squarespace plans undercut it, and so does WordPress hosting. You are paying for the AI agent and the speed, not for a bargain.
Website + Client Engagement — $78/mo, or $67/mo paid yearly
This is the plan B12 is really built around, and the only one where the pricing argument gets genuinely strong. On top of everything in Website:
- 300 AI credits a month
- Up to 30 launched projects
- A custom email address
- Client intake
- Email marketing
- Contact manager
- Contracts and eSignature
- File uploads
Price that list separately and the sum gets uncomfortable quickly. A scheduling tool, an eSignature tool, an email marketing tool and a CRM will typically run past $78 a month on their own, before you have paid for the website at all. If you will genuinely use those tools, this plan is the reason to choose B12.
If you will not use them, you are paying $54 a month — $648 a year — for features you are not touching. Be honest about which of those two you are.
Professional — $199/mo
Here you stop building and B12's own designers, copywriters and project managers build, test and launch the site for you. It includes everything in Website + Client Engagement, one seat, and phone support on top of email and chat.
Advanced — $399/mo
Expert-built as above, plus five team seats, business directory listings, monthly website updates, and priority support. The monthly updates are the meaningful difference: someone else keeps the site current rather than it drifting.
The Two Bits of Small Print That Matter
1. There are no refunds
B12's terms state that payment obligations are non-cancelable and that they do not issue refunds or prorate fees for early cancellation. It is worth knowing, though it changes only one thing in practice: do your judging inside the $1 seven-day trial and set a reminder for day six, and you are never relying on a refund.
2. The expert plans cannot be downgraded
B12 states that Website and Website + Client Engagement customers can switch between those plans or drop to Free at any time. Professional and Advanced customers cannot downgrade to Free, Website or Website + Client Engagement. Going to $199 or $399 a month is a decision to make deliberately, not one to try for a month.
What B12 Costs Over Five Years
Subscriptions are easy to underestimate because the monthly number is small. Here is the same decision viewed the way it actually lands on your bank statement, paying yearly where that option exists.
| Route | Year 1 | 3 years | 5 years |
|---|---|---|---|
| B12 Website (yearly) | $240 | $720 | $1,200 |
| B12 Website + Client Engagement (yearly) | $804 | $2,412 | $4,020 |
| B12 Professional | $2,388 | $7,164 | $11,940 |
| B12 Advanced | $4,788 | $14,364 | $23,940 |
| Self-hosted WordPress + Divi (DIY) | ~$350 | ~$650 | ~$950 |
The WordPress row assumes Divi's $249 one-off lifetime licence plus roughly $100 a year of decent hosting, and it assumes you do the work. It is the cheapest row by a distance, and it should be — you are supplying the labour and taking on the maintenance. That is the actual trade, and it is covered properly in B12 vs Divi.
The row worth staring at is Advanced. At $23,940 over five years you are well past the cost of a bespoke agency site that you would own outright — our own builds start at £995 and top out around £4,995. If you are considering Advanced, get a quote for a built site first and compare properly.
Which Plan Should You Pick?
- Not sure yet? Take the $1 week. A dollar gets you the full product on your own domain, which is a far better look at it than the capped free plan. Set a reminder for day six.
- Already decided? Skip the trial and pay yearly. It is 15% cheaper — $20 a month instead of $24 on Website, $67 instead of $78 on Client Engagement — and you are not relying on remembering a renewal date.
- Need a site on your own domain and nothing more? Website at $24/mo — but check Wix, Squarespace and WordPress too, because on the website alone B12 is not the cheapest option.
- Run a practice that books, invoices and signs clients? Website + Client Engagement at $78/mo. This is the plan that makes B12 make sense.
- Want it done for you? Compare Professional at $199/mo against a one-off build you would own. Over three years, $7,164 buys a lot of website.
Seven days on a full plan for $1
A dollar gets you a week on a full paid plan with your own domain, so you are judging what you would actually be buying. Set a reminder for day six.

Reading this from outside the US?
B12 is a US platform — the pricing is in dollars and the invoicing and contract tools are built around US practice. Everything above still applies, but if you are in the UK there are two routes that fit better.
