A Divi site on poor hosting is a frustrating thing. The Visual Builder lags. Pages take a moment too long to appear. Then people blame Divi, when often the server is doing most of the damage.

What Divi Needs From Hosting
Divi does not need anything unusual. But because it is a page builder, it leans harder on the server than a plain theme does, mainly while you are editing. Three things make the difference:
- Enough memory and PHP workers. PHP workers are how many requests the server can handle at once. Too few, and the builder stalls while it saves, or visitors queue during busy spells.
- Good caching. Once a page is built, the server should store a ready-made copy and hand it out instantly. A host that does this well makes Divi pages fly.
- A server near your visitors, plus a CDN. Divi sites tend to be image-heavy. A CDN serves those images from near the visitor.

What Is "Divi Hosting" From Elegant Themes?
On the Elegant Themes site you will see "Divi Hosting". It is not hosting run by Elegant Themes. It is a set of deals with partner hosts, with Divi pre-installed. As of October 2026 the partners are:

All four are reasonable hosts. Pressable in particular did very well in the 2026 independent tests, and SiteGround stands out for phone support and its free AI tools. If you go with SiteGround, choose GrowBig rather than StartUp: you get unlimited sites and staging, which is where you test Divi changes safely. Our concern is with the small print: visitor caps on the cheaper plans, and SiteGround's renewal jump. WPX's Business plan avoids both.
