Describe a web app or website, and Coderick builds it, with logins, a database, hosting and your own domain included. It is cheaper to start than Lovable or Bolt. Here is what it does well and where it stops.

Nicada Digital has built and looked after more than 800 websites since 2014, almost all of them on WordPress. Hosting is the part clients never see and always feel.

"Vibe coding" means building software by describing it to an AI rather than writing the code yourself. A year ago it was mostly for developers. Now there are tools aimed at everyone, and Coderick AI is SiteGround's.

We build our own client sites with the help of AI coding tools, so we know what this kind of tool is good at and where it tends to struggle. This review covers what Coderick does, what it costs, and who should use it.

How we assessed Coderick

We have not built a project on Coderick. This review is based on SiteGround's own product pages, help articles, blog posts and staff answers, checked on 1 October 2026, plus what we know from building with other AI coding tools. Coderick is changing fast, so we have dated the claims that matter most.

Our verdict: 7.5 / 10

The short version: Coderick is the cheapest way to get a working AI-built app online with hosting, a domain, email and real support all in one place. For a small business that wants a booking tool, a members area or a simple web app, that is a very good package.

Hold back if: you need GitHub, links to lots of other services, or a big developer community to lean on. It is younger than its rivals and still catching up.

What Coderick Does

You describe what you want in a chat. For example: "A booking page for my dog grooming business, where customers pick a time slot, pay a deposit and get a confirmation email." Coderick then builds:

  • The pages people see, which work on phones as well as computers.
  • The back end: a database, user logins and file storage. This uses PocketBase, an open-source tool.
  • Payments through Stripe, for one-off payments or subscriptions (since July 2026).

You keep refining it by chatting, or click on something and edit it directly. It can also "rebuild from URL": point it at up to five pages of an existing site and it recreates them.

Everything is hosted for you

This is Coderick's biggest difference from most rivals. Paid plans include SiteGround hosting, your own domain name and professional email. There is nothing else to set up, and if something goes wrong you can contact SiteGround's support team.

You can see and change the code

Since August 2026, paid plans have a Code tab where you can view and edit every file. Editing by hand uses no credits. You can download a single file or the whole project as a zip. Before August, none of this was possible, so older reviews that say "no code access" are now out of date.

You can undo mistakes

Every prompt creates a saved version you can go back to. One thing to know: restoring a version rolls back the code, not the data in your database.

Coderick AI Pricing

Plan UK (ex VAT) US Credits a month Projects Storage
Free trial£0, 14 days$050,00013GB
Essential£8/mo$10/mo100,00013GB
Plus£15/mo$20/mo200,000510GB
Pro£30/mo$40/mo400,0001020GB

Paying yearly costs ten times the monthly price, so you get two months free. The free trial needs no card, but trial projects cannot be published, use your own domain or have email. You can buy extra credits if you run out.

What is a credit?

A credit measures how much the AI reads and writes. SiteGround does not say how many prompts a plan buys, because it depends on the request. A short change uses little; "rebuild the whole booking flow" uses a lot. Failed requests still use credits. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month.

Where Coderick Falls Short

  • No GitHub sync. You can download your code, but there is no automatic link to GitHub. Lovable, Bolt, Replit and v0 all have one. If a developer will take over your project, that matters.
  • Limited links to other services. In March 2026 SiteGround's staff said Coderick could not receive webhooks or connect to custom back ends or other companies' systems. Stripe has since been added. We found nothing saying the rest has changed.
  • SiteGround does not say which AI model it uses. Most rivals let you see or choose.
  • The exported code may not be plug-and-play. The back end runs on PocketBase. Moving the project to another host is possible, but expect some developer work.
  • No native mobile apps. It builds web apps that work on phones, not App Store apps.
  • It is young. Launched in December 2025, with few independent reviews so far.

Who Should Use Coderick AI?

A good fit if:

  • You run a small business and want a simple web app: bookings, a members area, a quote calculator, a client portal.
  • You do not want to deal with hosting, domains or email separately.
  • You want to be able to phone or chat to a human when something breaks.
  • You want the lowest monthly cost to get started.

Look elsewhere if:

  • You are a developer, or will hire one, and want everything in GitHub.
  • Your app needs to talk to lots of other services.
  • You need a normal marketing website. WordPress, or a website builder, is still the better tool for that. See our SiteGround review for hosting, or have us build it.

Our Verdict

Coderick has improved a lot in 2026. Code access, zip download and Stripe payments have all arrived since the spring, and they fixed its biggest weaknesses. What is left is mostly about connecting to the wider world: GitHub, webhooks and other services.

For a small business owner who wants a working web app online cheaply, with hosting and support handled by a company that has been doing it since 2004, Coderick is a very reasonable choice. Start with the free trial and see what it builds from your description.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Coderick AI?

Coderick AI is SiteGround's AI app and website builder, launched in December 2025. You describe what you want in chat and it builds the front end and back end, with user logins, a database, hosting and a custom domain included on paid plans.

How much does Coderick AI cost?

In the UK, before VAT: Essential £8 a month (1 project), Plus £15 a month (5 projects) and Pro £30 a month (10 projects). In the US: $10, $20 and $40. Paying yearly gives you two months free. There is a 14-day free trial with no card needed, but trial projects cannot be published.

Can I export my code from Coderick AI?

Since August 2026, yes: paid plans can view and edit every file and download the whole project as a zip. There is no GitHub sync. Coderick's back end uses PocketBase, so running the download elsewhere may take some developer work.

Which AI model does Coderick use?

SiteGround does not say. It describes Coderick as using the latest large language models, and says your chats are not used to train them.

Is Coderick AI better than Lovable?

It is cheaper to start and comes with SiteGround's hosting, email and support. Lovable is more established, syncs with GitHub on every plan, and has a bigger community. For a small business wanting a simple app or site in one place, Coderick is worth a look. For a startup that will hand its code to developers, Lovable is the safer choice.

Can Coderick AI take payments?

Yes. Since July 2026 Coderick can take one-off payments and subscriptions through Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe's own payment page.

How many prompts do Coderick credits buy?

SiteGround does not give a figure. Credits measure how much the AI reads and writes, including SiteGround's own instructions, so a long or complicated request uses more than a short one. Credits reset each month and do not roll over.

Describe It. Coderick Builds It.
