Nicada Digital has built and looked after more than 800 websites since 2014, almost all of them on WordPress. Hosting is the part clients never see and always feel.
Replit and Lovable are two of the best-known AI app builders, and people often weigh one against the other. They overlap, but they are built for different people. Lovable hides the code and focuses on getting you a good-looking web app fast. Replit gives you a full coding workspace with an AI agent that can build almost anything.

Ease of Use: Lovable Wins
Lovable is designed so you never need to look at code. You describe, it builds, you click around, you ask for changes. The results look polished from the first try. Since May 2026 new projects use a newer, faster set-up behind the scenes, but you would not notice unless you went looking.
Replit shows you more of what is going on: files, a console, a full workspace. That is great once you are comfortable, and confusing on day one.
What You Can Build: Replit Wins
Replit can build web apps, mobile apps it can help submit to the App Store, data dashboards and more. It can run always-on servers and scheduled jobs, and handles more complicated back ends. Lovable is focused on web apps with its own built-in back end, which covers most small business needs but not everything.
Price: Closer Than It Looks
Replit's Core plan is cheaper on paper: $20 against Lovable's $25. But the way they charge is different.
- Lovable charges credits per message, and those credits also cover hosting and its back end. Simple to budget. Pro gives 100 credits a month plus 5 a day; a small change costs about half a credit, a landing page about two. See Lovable pricing.
- Replit gives you a Free Mode allowance and $20 of credit towards the most powerful AI models, then charges by effort for heavier work, telling you before paid work starts. Publishing and databases are billed separately as you use them, though simple static sites host free.
For a small app with light traffic, both cost about the same. For a busy app with heavy AI use, Replit's costs are harder to predict.
Taking Your Code With You
Both are good here. Lovable syncs with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket on every plan, even Free. Replit works with GitHub too, including opening pull requests. Neither locks you in.
A third option for small businesses
SiteGround's Coderick AI starts at $10 a month (£8 in the UK) with hosting, your own domain, professional email and phone support included. Simpler than both. Try it free for 14 days.

The Third Option: Coderick AI
If you run a small business and want something simpler, Coderick AI from SiteGround is worth a look. It builds web apps with logins, a database and Stripe payments, and paid plans include hosting, your own domain and professional email, with SiteGround's support team behind it. It is less capable than Replit and has no GitHub sync, but it is the cheapest way to get an app live with everything in one place. Read our Coderick AI review.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Replit or Lovable better?
Lovable is better for non-coders who want a polished web app quickly. Replit is better for more complex projects, mobile apps, scheduled jobs and always-on servers, and for people who want a real coding workspace.
Is Replit cheaper than Lovable?
Replit Core is $20 a month ($18 yearly) against Lovable Pro at $25 ($21 yearly). But Replit also charges separately for publishing, databases and heavier AI work, so a busy app can cost more on Replit. Lovable's credits cover building and hosting.
Can Replit build mobile apps?
Yes. Replit says it can build mobile apps and help submit them to the App Store. Lovable is focused on web apps that work on phones.
Can I move my project from Lovable to Replit?
Yes. Lovable syncs with GitHub on every plan, and Replit can import from GitHub. You may need some adjustments to the back end.
Is there a simpler option than both?
If you run a small business and want hosting, a domain, email and phone support in one place, SiteGround's Coderick AI is worth a look. It starts at $10 a month (£8 in the UK) with a 14-day free trial. It is less capable than Replit and has no GitHub sync.
